Finding the property you want on or near Watauga Lake Tennessee can be challenging for the reasons listed in the Real Estate Overview section of this website. Established developements at the lake include The Harbor and Horseshoe Cove. Both are near the Cove Ridge Marina and Butler.

Newly-emerging developments include Elk Ridge Estates, Sugar Cove, Nautica Cove (see links below) on the eastern end of the lake and Heartwood Properties in neighboring Poga, Tennessee. With new developments it is important to learn about the commitments developers have made to adequate roads, water, maintaining views and lake access. In addition, each development will have requirements for home design and construction and lifestyle issues (can you rent your home to others, etc.). And, obviously, the finanacial viablility of the developement project should be a key factor in your selection.
