Nautica Cove on Watauga Lake

The community's lots are easily reached by the wide road (also good as a walking path) which extends to the panoramic views at the top. This will be a gated community and each lot includes access to the covered docks in the cove. Lot prices start at $79,900 and there are minimal deed restrictions.

Nautica Cove advertises low home owners' association dues ($37.50 per month paid quarterly) and you may choose your builder and may build when you like. If you have no preferred builder, they can offer recommendations.

They will have both deeded boat slips and community boat slips. Work began on the docks in early July 2008 and they were put in place by the end of that month. Work was done through Cherokee Floating Docks through their local representative Dan Livorsi, owner of Pioneer Landing. Don Hale of Don's Dock Service in LaGrange, Georgia and his crew are doing the actual construction of the docks on the lake close to the Sugar Grove Church.

The development features all-underground utilities. It is near Highway 321, just minutes from the North Carolina border and 1/2 hour away from Boone North Carolina.

The community's rental house, Casa Lago, was completed in November 2005.
