While some developers have made shoreline living and access an expensive proposition, most marinas remain affordable and facilities such as Pioneer Landing provide affordable opportunities for summertime lake living. |
Throughout the year the waterline of the lake is adjusted within a range which allows land owners to maintain their docks with small adjustments. But even small changes in the elevation of the water line reveal (or conceal) fascinating views. This cave shows a visible waterline revealing a time when the cave opening would look quite different. |
Each time of day and each season offers quite different views of the lake, its foliage and its shore line. This photo shows a dock in the early morning mist of summer with the muted blues and greens of the mountains and lake. In mid-day the colors will brighten with the heat. And in the next season, Fall, the mountains will explode with oranges, reds and yellows.
