Bayview Family Campground and Marina is located in the heart of the Watauga Lake area (see map at the bottom of this page). They are in the town of Butler, the town that was created when "Old Butler" was torn down and moved before the building of the Watauga Dam and the creation of Watauga Lake in 1948.

The campground and marina are nestled in a beautiful cove but at the same time are easily reached from Highway 67. (See map below.) The Butler Museum is nearby and you can walk through the neighborhoods of Butler where you will find some of the original houses moved from the old town of Butler.

Bayview is owned by the Winebarger, Greene, and Thomas families, who grew up enjoying all that the lake has to offer. Their goal is to continue to offer the special experience they have enjoyed over the years to others. . . fishing, boating, water skiing, cookouts, relaxation and newfound friends.

They lease campsites with full hook up services - electric, water and sewer. They also rent covered boat slips and offer jet ski slips.
